What is an event?
Events link multiple jobs to a date. Events can be used for both recurring and non-recurring jobs. If an event date is moved, all the jobs associated with the event will also be moved. For example, events can be used for planned summer shutdowns when maintenance needs to be performed during the holiday period when the factory is closed.
Key Points to Remember:
- Events help you link multiple jobs to a specific date, making it easier to organize tasks around planned events.
- When a job is assigned to an event, its start date automatically aligns with the event date.
- Intervals based on events allow jobs to recur according to planned events, streamlining the scheduling process for recurring tasks.
