Since MaintMaster doesn’t know which objects are important or how they affect each other, we need to help the system by marking objects as main objects.
For example, if the car's engine breaks down, we know the car cannot be used. However, in MaintMaster’s world, everything continues as usual. By designating the car as a main object, MaintMaster understands that the car and the engine are connected. When a job is created for the engine, the system starts a downtime clock, which, along with costs, is summarized when the job is completed.
In the facility tree, main objects are displayed in bold.
How to create a main site object
Log in to the administrative client
1. Go to Settings – System settings
2. Go to Site objects
3. Click the Select Main site objects button... located in the Main site object features
4. Find your object and tick the box
5. Alternatively, open the object card.
6. Go to the tab “Cost info”
7. Click on the "Make this a main site object" button and click “Save and close”.
