How does the reservation rule work?
Reservation of a spare part can be configured based on a combination of the job status of a job where the part is planned and the expected delivery lead time. In addition to a generic lead time, the lead time set for the default supplier of each spare part can be used.
A spare part is reserved X days before the planned start date of the job, where X equals the known lead time for the default supplier plus the generic rule “Days in advance.”
Spare parts are listed as ready to order when there is a risk that the stock balance will drop below 0, with the reservation included in the calculation.
