Frequently Asked Questions about SSO/AD
Can we use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) through Microsoft Entra?
Yes – MFA is fully supported.
Can we set up a separate test environment for SSO/AD?
A standalone test environment isn’t available by default, but if you provide a dedicated test domain we can enable SSO/AD for it.
Can SSO/AD be switched off?
Yes. Deactivation takes up to one business day.
What happens to user accounts if SSO/AD is deactivated?
-
Users who had a MaintMaster password before SSO/AD was enabled can sign in with that password.
-
Users created after SSO/AD was enabled never set a MaintMaster password, so they’ll need to perform a password-reset to create one.
Do we have to do anything when we add new users?
No. Newly invited users simply confirm their MaintMaster account by signing in with their Azure AD credentials.
Can we manage MaintMaster permissions directly from Azure?
No. Roles and access levels are still handled inside MaintMaster just as before.
