What is a OEE multiplier?
A multiplier lets a single sensor or counter correctly count production when more than one product runs through the same machine or line. Instead of counting one unit per signal, the multiplier scales the count so your OEE and production figures stay accurate for each product.
Does it work automatically?
No. Multipliers are not enabled by default and cannot be switched on from within Maintmaster OEE or OEE Manager.
To use a multiplier, the feature has to be activated and configured by Maintmaster for your installation. This is a one-time setup we handle on our side to make sure your counts are prepared and calculated correctly.
How do I get it enabled?
If you have a machine or line where one sensor covers multiple products and you'd like counts scaled with a multiplier, please contact Maintmaster Support. Let us know:
- Which work centre / line is affected
- Which products run through it
- How the count should be scaled (e.g. how many units each signal represents)
We'll take care of the configuration and confirm once it's live.
Good to know
- The setup is done once per affected work centre; after that it runs automatically.
- The multiplier only applies to live orders when the correct product is selected during production. It won't correct counts on historical orders where the wrong product was selected. The multiplier value is applied live, at the moment counting happens.
