How do I create a selection showing when a user last changed a job?

You can create a join selection setup to identify users who haven’t made any job changes within a specific period.

  1. Create selection based on Jobs
  2. Create a joint selection linking the job selection to the people selection.
  3. Create selection based on People

Step 1: Create a job-based selection

1. Go to Settings → System settings → Selections.
2. Click "Add" → Job → Jobs.

3. Give the selection a name and description e.g. Jobs not Updated in the Last 6 Months
4. If needed reorganize the Output columns and add the following columns:

  • Category
  • Last changed by
  • Last changed

5. Go to the Condition tab and add the condition:

Last changed → Not in dynamic date range → Last 180 dagar
(Adjust the time period if you want a different range.)

This condition ensures the selection lists jobs not modified within the chosen timeframe.

6. Save and close

Step 2: Create a joint selection linking the job selection to the people selection.

1. In system settings go to "Table providers"
2. Open the table named "Persons"
3. Choose "Add"
4. Click on selection join

5. Make the following settings:

  •  Column for local key: Last changed by
  • Selection to join: Jobs not Updated in the Last 6 Months
  • Column for remote key: Last changed by
  • Column for remote value: Last change
  • Function: Last

Step 3: Create selection based on People

1. Go to Settings → System settings → Selections.
2. Click "Add" → Person → Persons,

3. Give the selection a name and description
4. Add the Output columns Access license type as well as the one created in step 2, Jobs not Updated in the Last 6 Months.

5. Set the condition:

Access license type → Is not empty

Result

The selection will now display:

  • Users who have an active access license, and

  • Have not made any job changes during the last 6 months (or your defined timeframe).

This provides a quick overview of inactive MaintMaster users based on recent job activity.
